Swipe Left -- it's not a match

One of the biggest mistakes some people make with horses is that they keep on keeping on when the match is not right. It was a VERY hard decision to make, but Tiki and I are not a match.

I've had her in training for two months and when I see her doing what she was bred to do, the more competitive ranch riding activities, I see a horse that is in the groove. Whenever she was asked to do what I need, the less competitive stuff, she was reluctant and ill-at-ease.

After three months, the best path for us both is to part ways. Tiki is going back to her original name, Penny, and is for sale. She is an amazing horse for someone who wants to do beginning reining, some sorting or penning, and anything with cows. For me, imagine the cartoon where they horse turns, the person is still in the air, but the horse goes on. It's funny in the cartoon but can be painful in reality (the ground is far and hard). Plus, we can't just have fun together. She'll find the right human who will also take joy in those quick movements and that sweet girl.

Back to looking for a horse, and a new place to board. And the beat goes on, yes, the beat goes on.
